Dragon Ball Z

Last Friday, I read another part of DBZ. After the 2 guys ambushed Gohan they flew away and the Lord of Lords chased after them along with the Z fighters. While they were chasing these men they learned that they had a new foe waiting for them. It was a warlock that had control of one of the most dangerous beings in the universe named Majin Buu.

Dragon Ball Z

Last Thursday I read part of my DBZ book. The part that I read was when the Z fighters (Goku, Vegeta, Kuririn, Gohan) were at the tournament. They were in the middle of a fight when suddenly to of the other tournament competitors ambushed Gohan. They sucked the energy out of him and flew away.

The Greatest Muhammad Ali

Today I read some more of the book "The Greatest Muhammad Ali". I read a section called the legacy. This section was about how even though Ali had to retire his legacy of being The Greatest will still live on. Ali made a huge impact on the boxing world and boxing fans. To this day people still know that Muhammad Ali was The Greatest.

Right On The Money

Today I read a passage about money management and the impulse to spend your money on things that are not important. In this passage it talks how having a budget is good for you and your future. If you have a budget it will be easier for you to get things that you NEED instead of just buying things that you WANT.

Basketball Injury

Today I read a short story about a boy named Josh getting hurt in basketball. Josh was hesitating on shooting the ball, so he shot it so hard that it bounced back and hit him in the chest. The ball hit him so  hard it knocked the wind out of him. Seconds later josh started breathing and then minutes later he passed out. We carried him home and my mom rushed him to the emergency room. The doctor took x-rays of Josh's chest. The doctor said that Josh's chest was caved in a little bit, but he was able to go home and that he would be okay.

Caught in Gambling's Grip

Today I also read another passage about gambling. Lisa Hoffman was a compulsive gambler. She was excited when she turned 18 because she could go into casino's. Lisa's addiction to gambling became worse and worse. Lisa soon ended up taking hundred's of dollars from her fathers wallet, she then started stealing money from her job. Lisa's dad started hiding his wallet and burning her pay checks. Lisa soon went to Gamblers Anonymous and found out why gambling was so addictive. To this day Lisa will not step foot in a casino.

Money Matters

Today I read about how American teens flunked their money quiz. The quiz had questions that included insurance, taxes, savings, and debt. In 1997 57.3% of the students passed the test. In 2000 only 50% passed the test. Parents and school made it a priority to help the teens and in 2004 the scores increased by 2%.
